If you like JB's. I've often wondered about this subject of matter. Why is it that any guitar that comes with real Duncans from the factory is either a JB, or in some rare instances a '59? Does SD cut some kind of deal for JB's in bulk? Hahahaha. Or is it that guitar companys are just afraid to actually do something different? Or that they're too lazy or cheap (seems rather inexpensive as far as R&D stuff goes but who knows?) to actually try different Pup's from SD's line and figure out what sounds best in the guitar? And I know there are those of you who say that the JB is the best all around pickup, however, most guitars that come with the JB in it aren't all arounders. They're for harder music... and there are much better Pup's in my opinion to do just that. And a lot of those guitars seem to be naturally a little more focused towards highs and mids with out the help of the JB.... which by the way was still a little thin for my tastes in my old McCarty standard (all mohagany). Just my opinion. Sorry to jack the thread but feel free to let me know what you think on this situation.
