I have Westone Concorde 2 bass with with a P /J set. There's already a 3 way Strat type selector switch

The switch is a 3 position: neck, both parallel, bridge , as the stock setting

I'd like to in stall a 4 or if I have to a 5 position to have the p and J in series

Can that be done?

Thanks

You should be able to use this 4-way switch diagram to get series.

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, connecting your two pickups in series can be done but it is unlikely to sound very pleasant. Just loud and muddy.

Since the two coils of the P pickup are already connected in series with one another, your idea amounts to three coils in series. This will not completely cancel hum.
