Want to make the best of two 4-cond pickups

Here's the situation. I have two humbuckers, both with 4 conductor wiring. I also have two volume and two tone pots. I'm interested in coil splitting both humbuckers, but the Seymour Duncan schematics shows the option to split the bridge pickup only.

The question is:
1. Can I coil split both humbuckers with only one push-pull pot?
2. What will happen if I put the 3-way pickup selector switch in the middle position, when the coils are splitted?
3. Can somebody show me a diagram to help me?

Thanks!

Next you can get clever and put in 2 push pull pots, one to coil split, the other to change from series to parallel when both puppies are selected ;)

I guess that would be my next project :)
But I'm going to try this first and can't wait to hear the results.

Thanks for all your help!

And then after that...you can tackle the mother of all crazy wiring schemes...the infamous Jimmy Page Wiring!
