I got a 16 ohm eminence screamin eagle for 35 shipped.
It ain't brit toned, supposed to be a beefier version of a vintage jensen. But it's cheap and it sounds good

Check out the WGS Veteran 30 and ET65 combo. WGS speakers are USA-made, very affordable, and they sound GREAT. I have that combo in my 6x12 and it sounds massivicious.

Oh, I just sold a WGS Veteran 30, and it was ok. But I like my real Vintage 30 better. Of course, I didn't actually do a true side by side comparison, so it's hard to say definitively. I haev wanted to check out their other stuff, though.

Yeah, it might find it's way into that open back cab. I remebered I have some old alnico speakers in my garage that I might try in there. They are pretty small voice coils, which usually means they'll be bright, but I may mod the amp a bit before I completely gut it.
