yes, I'm for real on this one.


I don't really need anything special but it must have the classic synth sounds. That's all I really care about. Sawtooth, triangle wave, etc.


I'm thinking one or two octaves. Either one.

What do you want it for and does it HAVE to be a "keytar" style unit? Also, do oyu know what you're getting into in the synth world???

Yes, it has to be a keytar type unit. i'm just going to use this one the side for my band. so it doesn't have to be anything complex.

I know a little about synths. I don't know which are good and which are bad

Look around on ebay and read up...a lot of those keytar units are JUST controllers...that means that you'd have to have a keytar controller AND a synth brain to make it happen. Plus you really need a small PA system or atleast a smallish bass amp to play though...a synth is a full range instrument and a guitar amp is not made for a full range...bass amps and PA's however are...
