Yes, it has to be a keytar type unit. i'm just going to use this one the side for my band. so it doesn't have to be anything complex.

alrighty. thanks for the heads up.Look around on ebay and read up...a lot of those keytar units are JUST controllers...that means that you'd have to have a keytar controller AND a synth brain to make it happen. Plus you really need a small PA system or atleast a smallish bass amp to play though...a synth is a full range instrument and a guitar amp is not made for a full range...bass amps and PA's however are...
