Warm Bridge Buckers

Is it safe to say the Alnico Pro II is the warmest bridge bucker in the "vintage" category?

What would the ranking be from warmest to brightest if you had to guess?

Re: Warm Bridge Buckers

It's the smoothest, but I think it has a bit more high end than the Antiquity or the Seth. The latter two have a bit more midrange honk, which, IMHO, can make those two sound a bit more cutting and aggressive.

No, the APH1 bridge is actually very sharp and can even be thin.

The Brobucker for something fatter or the Lollar Imperial for something very soft.

The Pearly Gates also has good low-mid push for volume but wouldn't overall be called "warm" because it has some sizzle at the top.

Re: Warm Bridge Buckers

They're not that warm but aren't that aggressive either. I liked them and I like warm bridges. Slash gets them pretty aggressive which I can't really do. His sound almost like they have an A5 mag in there.

Re: Warm Bridge Buckers

Warmest to brightest in the Duncan PAF sound-a-like category would be (IMHO, YMMV, and all the usual caveats):

*Brobucker
*PATB-3
*Antiquity
*Seth
*S Deco
*APH
*Screamin Demon
*PG
*59
*PG+
*Jazz

Re: Warm Bridge Buckers

I know it's not vintage output, but the Custom Custom is promoted as having a vintagey tone and it's warmer than the others mentioned. ;)
