Warmoth Appreciation

Re: Warmoth Appreciation

You'll never be disappointed with their finishes. Prices are high, but their solid colors are flawless and their bursts are great. Just wish they'd do a teardrop burst on Gibson-style guitars.

EDIT: The guitar in my avatar is a Warmoth. I'll post my Warmoths when I get home from work

Sarge, an Ebay rescue, with a Korina top, body, and neck. Rosewood board. Love the Duncan 59'ers, Tusq saddles and nut, and the Kluson style Grovers.

Re: Warmoth Appreciation

When it comes to Strat and Tele necks, which are their biggest sellers, you do. I didn't clarify that.

No, many of the neck options are restricted to Warmoth Pro construction necks.

Re: Warmoth Appreciation

I'll have to update this after it gets a new neck: reverse headstock, birdseye maple, jumbo frets, and the wolfgang contour. Can't wait to try that out.

Comparing the lists on the web site, I see these options being restricted to the Pro necks.

Scalloping
Binding
Floyd Rose nut prep
24-fret extension
Non-Fender headstock shapes

That's not very many differences. If anything, the headstock shapes could be offered on more than just the Pro construction.

Other than what is listed, everything else is available outside Pro construction. Look at the web pages for each construction method and compare. I did it on the Strat necks since that headstock is available in all three.

Re: Warmoth Appreciation

I just got this. The neck is Warmoth,I'm not sure what the body's from,MIJ or what?
I want to change the body any way and go for a Blackguard look as I already have a MIJ 62 RI.

Re: Warmoth Appreciation

Hey thanks for reviving my thread! Yesterday I wasted my warmoth/car-upgrade(indecision) fund on a 9 piece pearl export drum set with floor pads and iron cobras. Also it has double 22" kicks, 1 F.Tom, 4toms, snare and stand and hi hat stand for 450 total. Nice and shiny black looks new. Now I can record in my bedroom. So it's a good tradeoff. But my car and my guitar collection will get upgraded as time goes on. Also I had lot's of fun trying to play I'm eighteen(I have no drums skills yet) without cymbals. Hopefully tomorrow I can borrow a few cymbals from my dads studio!
