Warmoth/Kramer Sambora Project

Picked up an inexpensive worn but solid player Sambora Body and grabbed a reasonable Warmoth Showcase Flame Maple Reverse Headstock (Lefty) Neck for it. Going to add some righty position markers to the neck. Everything will be pretty standard fare otherwise.

Thanks! Ran across the neck on Warmoth and they had it priced at $175 with the notation of “Bonus Flame”. I couldn’t pass it up. Warmoth Standard Thin Back Shape, 10-16” Compound Radius, R3 Nut and 6100 Jumbos.

I got into playing guitar in the mid 80s, so Richie Sambora looms large in my early influences. I have a real soft spot for those RS model guitars, even though I have a real love/hate relationship with Floyd Roses! That looks really sweet!

Thank you! Sambora was a fine player in his prime without doubt. I even liked his first solo album.

I also went through that love:hate thing with the Ibanez Original Edge on couple of Ibanez RG550 guitars. Sold one of them cause I just couldn’t get it to stay in tune. I find the OFR to be more solid and manageable.

I've been looking for a while and found a few necks with specs I liked and a palatable price then I ran across this one and felt like it was the best value I was going to find.

Nice! Is the trem really crooked on the body like that?

Thank you. Floyd is a little angled but intonation is spot on and Floyd flutter range is full. This one was a “beater/relic” build with dings, dents, scars and a bit of an angled OFR.
