Warmoth push/pull pot

It's actually a push/push pot, but I was wondering if anybody here used/uses one. I just put one in my Strat with a tapped bridge pickup, the tap is fine but the pot is the tone control and it seems to have a very strange taper...from 10to about 3 it seems to have almost no effect then from 3 to 0 it gets very fat very fast! Anybody else have this "problem"?

It sounds like the pot is linear tapered. If you have a multimeter, remove the pot from the guitar, turn it to 5, and measure the resistance. If it's linear tapered, you will get a measurement that's 1/2 the total resistance. For pots with built-in switches, I like the Dimarzio push/pull pots, they are custom-made for Dimarzio and are of much better quality than the cheap foreign-built pots.

I think it's basically a push-toggle. Push it once to turn whatever function on, push it again to turn it off. I could be wrong though.

Ryan...that's what I thought too! I have just been too lazy to pull it all back apart to check it out, and was hoping that somebody else here had used them and maybe had the same "problem". Where do you get the DiMarzio push pull's, and is it a true push pull or not?

It's actually a push/push...it is a switch and a pit...the pot part is the otne control on my Strat bridge pickup, the switch selects between the 2 taps I have on the same pickup.
