Is that a Duncan Firebird in the neck? I love that combination. I have the "Twistedcaster" that Xssive made & I had a Love/hate relation with it until I replaced the bridge pickup. It had the Duncan Firebird neck pickup & a hotrail in the bridge. The hotrail.....well I loved it at times and absolutley hated it at times, so I had a buddy of mine make me a neck pickup for it. He based it on a JD & it has worked out really well.

With that headstock, when I read the title I thought it was gonna be a disaster. Thankfully not. Nice guitars.

REALLY dig the esquire. That's just too damn sexy.

Re: Warning: Don't leave Telecasters alone on String Swings

I think you'd better get them separated soon; get any water splashed on them and they'll propagate like Gremlins...

Re: Warning: Don't leave Telecasters alone on String Swings

I love tele's .. I say splash em with some water and let em spread like wildfire.

GAWD Iggy is hot!

The one on the left is killer.

Thanks all. Next up I think is going to be a faded fiesta red cabronita. I just need to do some touch up work on the yellow and Iggy before I bury myself in another.

The yellow one was my first and in hindsight through more experienced eyes, really never was properly wet sanded. it has a good amount of overspray and other blems.

The esquire's color did not cover as I wanted and has a couple of sand throughs, so that's getting another color coat. Then both will be treated to another round of clear, probably 4-6 coats each.

I'm boring. I prefer to see the grain of the tonewood. Usually, my favourite colour is early Fifties Blond(e). Today, I am mostly preferring Old Growth Redwood. ;)
