I've heard a couple of Billy Squire's songs lately. Boy am I glad the '80's are over. Most of that stuff doesn't hold up well over time.

Kenny Aaronson was the bassist in Billy's band... as well as HSAS (with Neil Schon and Sammy Hagar).

When he first came out, I thought he was the closest to Led Zeppelin I had heard, though short the chops to be legendary. But the tone and vibe was there.

Thanks for the info! Watching the vid, he sure looked like the same guy. I always laugh cuz it seemed like all the keyboard players in 80s bands had the Dr theme going on, and the bass players had the 50s greaser thing going. greased hair, shades..
Rock me tonight was an abomination, but alot of Billys other stuff was good old rock. My kinda lover, lonely is the night. etc. I always thought he was more of a singer (before youtube of course) and once reador heard an interview and he was complaining that he got little credit for his guitar playing. Watching some vids, he actually plays more guitar than I thought he did and can lay it down pretty well.
