They can be half-decent with a good setup. The EMGs are a massive step up from the original Washburn Eliminator things. Just be careful with that floyd. Those have really soft baseplates and it's very easy to round off the knife edges, making them really hard to keep in tune.

here are some pics. It's really in good condition. It came with a TRS101 floyd or something. If I end up keeping it I'll probably put an original FR on it. I'll also prolly back block it and stick a D-tuna on it. the EMGs sound awesome, plays great and looks, well, striking. My wife named it Soylent Green.

I take back my former statement! That's the BEST looking 333 Slime I've ever seen, and the TRS-101 is a monster upgrade over the original while still fitting the stock rout. They're one of the best licensed FRs out there. You got a screaming deal on that.
I really can't get over that slime. Usually, they're almost orange in the center and the green is too dark. Yours looks amazing.

Dean make a similar job in a left handed style, if you wanted to go to the extreme you could buy one have it fitted with EMG's and paint it slime green?

Hey brother please let me know how it goes, i've got a 1997 washburn that is mint cond. and I really wanna throw some amg 81/85's in it. I traded a razorback 255 dimeslime for her straight up. I was lucky enough to have been able to get to know Darrell before he died and I ALWAYS wanted one of these guitars. (but I do miss the bite of those active emg's that were in the razorback 255) The stock washy pickups are super muddy so first off I've got Bill (and Becky) Lawrence pups on the way to me and will give those a shot before going EMG. Did you have to have any wood routing done to have them installed? Thanks in advance brother!
Here's some pics of my axe, she's still got the stickers on her and the protecive plastic cover over the input jack.
This sticker's not even faded! I think this thing may have been displayed in someones jam room or something.

Manley, I think you should be fine with the Bill Lawrence. I have one in my explorer and it's a beassst( explorers and ml's have the same kinda sound :/)
