Medium, Antiquity Custom for single coil, C5 for buckin'. Best of both worlds.

Clean balanced sound. lower PAF mostly is my preference, but I can also use medium hots without any hassle.

I prefer mediums to highs - I guess with the new duncan pedal I could boost my mediums anyway if I needed the output... anyone try that pedal?

The wolfs are medium hots to me, much hotter and the bandwidth is out of the door.

hot!!! i like smooth tone, but in most cases they have not enough warmness to me.. I like JB it's the sweet spot between cleans and distortion

Bridge - PAF style with A2.. no shortage of mids there.

Neck - PAF style with A5 magnet.

Low output pickups with big output amps = dakine articulation and crunch :13:

Depends on the guitar, but as a general guideline, I prefer a high output pickup on the bridge and a medium output pickup on the neck. If there's only one pickup, I'll go with a hot pup and sometimes bypass the tone controls. I'll do that for the bridge pickup if there's only three controls, too. As I said though, it depends on the guitar. Some of mine can't use / don't need a killing pup. That said, my thought process is that you can always take it away, but you can't put in something that isn't there.

Depends on my mood and what I want to play. I am polar though, either hotter-than-hell for metal or PAFish for my bluesy-rock tastes. I don't care for in-between.

PAF style for me.

I like the Custom too, but I find vintage PAF-style pickups more versatile.

In my experience if a pickup sounds great clean it'll sound great under distortion, but the reverse is not necessarily true.
