Weber 10 vs celestion for valve junior

Reload in 5

Just Ultimate Slacker
So I am getting a valve junior, and I have a cab for a 10" speaker. I will be running my sfx-03 through it. I need a speaker, and price is an issue.
Does anybody have an experience with the weber signature alnico 10 or alnico 10s ?
How bout the celestion tube 10 ?
These all look to be about $40 speakers
rock / classic rock / blues rock / blues sound

Re: Weber 10 vs celestion for valve junior

I have a Weber Cali series 10" in my Princeton Reverb. It's a well made High quality speaker. The cali series is based on the JBL's of the past. It's a very neutral sounding speaker, Good Highs,Lows ans mids. Does not color your amps tone at all. But does make your amp sound/or perceived to sound louder and fuller.

I'd go with the Weber. Most people tend to like Ted's 10s more Celestion's.

I know it wasn't listed, but I have a 4x10 cab with Eminence Legend 10s in it. I run my Valve Jr. head through this cab sometimes, and it sounds great. They have a few different versions of the Legend 10. The ones I have are made for a more modern sound, and they let me stretch the whole spectrum of styles, from totally clean to maxed pedal distortion.
