For a few dollars more, you can check out Mission Amps. Better parts, better support. I have two MIssion Kits I built. tweed deluxe, tweed pro
Scott_F said:Weber kits are said to be cheap, said by Ted weber in fact, that he buys a lot of his parts in bulk from overseas and same with his trannies. His support is supposed to be lackluster at best. Also, he makes his own speakers. They're not his top of the line stuff, but he doesn't have to pay a middle man on that.
If you go to his site, there's an entire section of his user forums dedicated to Q and A. It's his only version of support. Same type support you get from the 5E3 Tweed Forum.
With Bruce at Mission, you can call him up and he'll walk you through stuff to try if you're having problems.
His Pro kits (same kit for 2x10 Super, 3x10 Bandmaster and 1x15 Pro with just two resistor changes) are killer. Bruce tells me he is currently spending time building both his old 5E3 kit and his new 5E5A/5F4 kit so he can document the living heck out of it. There is not much documentation on the new kit.
I've not built a Weber kit and do not plan on doing so anytime soon. I'm happy with what I have. Actually, I've got too many amps. So the 5E3 is going.
