It's a 15 watt tube, which can get pretty loud for smaller gigs. If you want it a little louder, you could boost it with a pedal. That should get you loud enough for a gig.
There are all kinds of mods you can do to it. You can find 'em all over the web. I like the volume at about 6 for classic rock with the Blues Junior. Just my personal preference, though.
Just mess around with it. You'll find the settings that you like, or you won't and you'll sell it or trade it. Easy enough.
LOVE MINE!!! i play all kinds of styles with it and it takes pedals pretty well, so it's a versatile little bugger!!! i play it with a full band pretty cranked and i mic it and it does pretty good...i'd like a little more headroom but it gets the job done!
You say it is in mint condition. Does that mean it is pre-owned?
What speaker is in it?
First thing I'd do is make sure it has good tubes in it. Then I'd consider puting in a different speaker than the stock Fender speaker.
Anyway, speakers need to be broken in before they sound good anyway. So don't judge it too harshly if you don't like the tones from it right away.
WHAT ARE GOOD SPEAKERS FOR THIS AMP? Ideas?
