I rang the silly FedEx people yesterday and asked them to deliver it monday so i could have the money ready, so naturally they didnt listen and delivered it today instead! Luckily i could give them a cheque which hopefully they wont cash too quickly :rolleyes:

But yeah, i got it! And it looks bloody fantastic...but i need to convert the power before i can report on its sound :smack:

So ill have to get back to everyone there :D

Glad to hear that it has arrived - you must have had nightmares wondering if it was ever going to come your way. But I am really pleased that you have got it after all the problems that you have had. Let us know once you have sorted out the power conversion and give us that review.

I know i can come across as a bit of a whiney fussy bitch...im really not though...i swear these internet posts make me sound much worse than i am, maybe its the way i write them :smack:

But im sorry if i come across that way, but thanks to everyone who puts up with whiners like me...we just want our tone :D

I'm pretty sure that he's not kidding around, although I've never heard them called traffos before.

If you try and pull that "this doesn't sound right" thing on us again, you should just send me the amp to take a good look at. ;)

If it doesn't sound good with those stock Mullards in it, there's something very very wrong with your setup/guitars/fx :laugh2:

If i pull any of that crap with this amp then im gonna sell everything to do with guitars and devote my life to chasing hot women :burnout:

I'd heard RID call TRAnsFOrmers Traffos before. We call them trannies in the US, but maybe in Denmark "trannies" ONLY mean chicks with dix. Ha Ha.

Anyway. Doesn't Australia run on 220, not 110? My buddies from Australia, www.inthenameof.com share my reheasal space. They use a black box called a step down transformer to play here. I'd imagine that you need to get a step up transformer to use the Komet in Australia. No?

Well here in Australia trannies are chix with dix, but when you mention them on an amp forum ill just assume you mean transformers ;)

Australia does run on 240 volts, and interesting enough the komet people have made the komet so that it can run on either voltage, but with a couple of minor changes either way. At the moment it is of course configured to run on american 120volts, but to change it to 240v all it needs is a different slow blow fuse, a couple of wires unsoldered and soldered in different ways on the inside, and a 250volt type MOV installed in place of the current 130volt type MOV.

Then its ready to run on 240volts. And ill be doing that this morning, so ill let you know how it goes.
