Remember a few months ago I made a thread about what "artist" guitar you'd like to see made? I happened to mention this. I never knew they made any.

That's gotta be the ugliest signature Paul I've seen. What's that white stripe behind the tailpiece?? It does serve as an excellent reminder of how to ruin the look of a guitar!.....throw a DiMarzio in the middle of it! LOL

well...I never saw one before but...oh well! The "stripe" is actually the number One...Pete had 4 of them I belive in the 70's...I got the chance to play number 3 once (I think it was number 3...I'll have to dig up photos!) at the Hard Rock in NYC...cool guitar but they do look funny...

I think the people at Gibson are living under a ****ing rock! Where were they in the 70's...Pete has been playing Strats fro some time and NOW they want to do a PT/LP...WTF???

i had never seen or heard of that until i saw that auction... pete has a custom model SG, LP... and probably a strat in the next couple years
