Went down to the Crossroads.... With a 1978 Marshall JMP 100w.

Re: Went down to the Crossroads.... With a 1978 Marshall JMP 100w.

I want to believe him. I really do. I said so when he thought he got an Am Std Fender a couple months ago. I maybe even though that when he thought he was getting that 71 Fender. You can't keep crying wolf though.

It wasn't just those two incidences, there were were several more. Remember him saying he was playing through a original late 60's fuzz face... But no pictures of it, which is BS because he's the first one flooding the forum to take pictures of every single change- addition or omission- to his pedal board that he makes... then the supposed old 50's Tele, was it, that his friend would supposedly not let him take pictures of. The guy clearly has grandiose delusions , no matter how much we might like him.

You guys keep getting suckered into this ...again, that ain't no '78 Marshall JMP, except in his mind.

I didn't name all of them, but yes those are just two of many.

well, it don't sound a lot like my grail '78 2203, but of course i don't have a real '71 Strat like OP. You need G12H'30's or G12-65's for the late 70's JMP's, or it juss ain't the real sound. I have the old G1265's myself.;

Jerry to be fair i havent heard you play anything ever. You also lied about owning heaps of gear that was your mates.

Re: Went down to the Crossroads.... With a 1978 Marshall JMP 100w.

Does people lying about the gear actually hurt us in any way? I have no comment on whether he used a real jmp or not. I'm not gonna sh!t on the kid for trying anymore. We were all that kid. I've worked with youngens in my studio and had them come back and just blow me away with their progress. The fact is, he's on the right track and probably will get somewhere some day. I'm not claiming to be above it, I had the pitchfork out with the so called guitars earlier but now I just don't care.

Nate, I will say this. You don't have to hype. Getting sounds you like out of less than iconic gear is all the more impressive. If you really used the amp you say you did, a quick snap of it would go a long way in changing everyone's mind and take all the attention away from doubt being the issue and bring more focus to the actual content.

We don't hate you, at least I don't and want to see you succeed and you don't have to feel the need to impress us beyond just doing your thing. Hell, you put together most of a full pedalboard for free. That's pretty resourceful. I'm drunk and dribbling sh!t but just have a think about it. If you got to use a JMP, cool. Most just aren't gonna believe that simply based on the past. Point is, actions speak louder than words. I'm an attention whore too but I like that attention to come from what I do, not what I say. Not all attention is good. I don't want to pity you. It's the lowest level of empathy there is. I was harsher towards you when I thought you were a trI'll but I see you're just super green, heart's in the right place.

As for everyone else, as annoying as it is, just don't even pay any attention. Let him earn the right attention. He may just surprise us yet. If he breaks the rules, that's the mod's mess to clean up.

Yeah, never lie its pathetic. tall stories can go get ****ed.
I know it is, but just take them for what they are. BS. Best thing to do with BS is leave it. It's for bulls.

Very well, if you want to know the real sound, that was my 1976 Jade Storm 125 Reverb. Clean channel with the Boss ML-2

And the truth shall set you free! I'm proud of you for owning up. Well done.

I want to know why your post says it's 1:25 PM when the clock in the corner of my PC [ and my phone ] say 12:29 PM.

Re: Went down to the Crossroads.... With a 1978 Marshall JMP 100w.

It fooled LLL haha.

Well he thought the singer sounded like " The real deal " [Eric Clapton].
It is Eric Clapton, it is said at the end of the track. Makes you wonder how much he listened to it.

Don't have "Daylight Savings Time" in AU?

Re: Went down to the Crossroads.... With a 1978 Marshall JMP 100w.

Not concerned about the gear couldn't really tell through I phone speakers anyway - however not really impressed with the lead parts not at all like Clapton in vibe or style but then again not sure that was the point , haven't heard any other recording by the poster so please take that as constructive criticism not a put down.

Yes but it isn't over yet. None the less microshaft stuff up the dates all the time, that may be it. It wasn't like this yesterday.

Also by now it seems to be corrected, it's back to showing the right current time.

Re: Went down to the Crossroads.... With a 1978 Marshall JMP 100w.

Nathan, you have a lot of good stuff going on. I know some of the trolls give you hell about your gear, but it is not about the gear it is about your tone. You squeeze a great tone out of your gear it doesn't matter if your amp says, Berringer or Marshall. Be proud of who you are and what you do. Gear doesn't matter; you play the guitar the guitar doesn't play you.
