Well... Just slaved my eggie amp into a peavey mark viii bass amp and utilized the lowend crossover and dialed it in just right... Through my Marshall 2x15. Totally impractable but effin awesome and all the abercrombie and fitch metal kids at the local bars are gonna poo themselves lol.

Suprisingly, it doesn't make MORE bass... It just clears it up and makes it clear. Bass player is still required for real lows lol.

Subs for guitar are nothing new. But they were never widely used. In big touring rigs the guitar is miced any way and if the engineer wants to allow truly low notes he can let that sucker rip through all the PA subs. But in small clubs with minimal PA a stage rig with extra beef would be bad ass if that's what's called for.

What you've rigged up isn't really a sub woofer as a 2x15 guitar cab won't deliver truly low (25-35 hz) bass notes. But splitting the load between two cabs certainly takes a lot of the heat off the high range cab and provides extra beef. So get out there and lay it on folks!

Now running through a rig that's solid down to 25 hz can be a blast. My attic studio monitor rig is such a beast. Dumping the trem can be an almost religious experience. With some healthy distortion notes can beat against each other creating ghost notes w-a-y down in the nether regions that shake the room especially when your bending one note up to match the second. As they get just about the same frequency lots of cool stuff starts happening.

bet it sounds great! lots of speakers and power is awesome!

Dimebag used to have 2x15 cab and 4x12 cab going at the same time, mind you there is problems with mixing speaker sizes tho depending on where you are standing in the room, but since you crossed them over it is prolly awesomeness

I have been wanting to hook up my bass and guitar amps together like I have seen some bands do where there is no bassist, and run a POG pedal to the bass amp. Tweak Bird and Nico Vega guitarists do this when I saw them at their shows a year ago, and it sounds awesome!

If someone were really serious about extending the range of the guitar a 8 string multi-scale guitar would be the way to go. Otherwise you really can't get precise intonation with a conventional 8 string guitar and you would just end up amplifying mush. I think the most practical way to bi-amp a guitar rig would be to have a preamp, crossover and a stereo power amp. That way you can drive two sets of speakers and set the volume levels independently.

I like the results of my setup. I play a gibson explorer tuned to d standard 95% of the time. I like having my 'normal' rig and sending the signal to the bass amp to beef it up. It appears bigger and clearer without being overwhelming.
I have even been dorking around with sending the signal to my tc corona chorus set for 100% wet and then splitting that with the bass amps cross over. Lows go to a 2x15 cab and highs to a randall combo. It's like surround sound for my guitar... Add some ping pong delay, the freaker wah and herbal essence... And it's hours of fun lol.
