WGS Reaper 30 To Replace Celestion G12H Anniversary?

My EVH cab has a G12H Anniversary.

I'm thinking of taking it out and replacing it with a WGS Reaper 30 that I bought some time ago for another amp.

Wondering if it'll make much of a difference in getting rid of the fizz.

I realize that new tubes will help too but I thought I'd try the speaker swap before opening up the amp's chassis and messing with tubes, since I'm not very experienced in that area.

FAR more high end content on the reaper. The midrange is not as grindy, but you will likely hear more of the el84 shrillies. If you are going that route I would go with the reaper 55hz, as it is more like a celestion H30 lead series in top end.

The reapers are really quite different from Celestions, despite their marketing.

Good thing is if you buy direct from WGS you can exchange one time. Edit- duh. Nevermind. Give it a whirl since you own it.

If you already own it, may as well try it. Worse case, you swap back.
