Hey everyone-
New Duncan forum member here, not-so-new Duncan player. I've been kicking around the idea of putting a different set of pups (who here isnt?) in my PRS CE24. I've already gone from a Full Shred, to a JB, and finally a Custom in the bridge (coincidentally the Custom was my first Duncan pickup almost 10 years ago..)
I want to try and pair the Phat Cat in the neck along with the Custom in the bridge, but I'm wondering if the Custom is too hot. Anyone in here try that combo?
I currently have my electronics set up as 2 volume knobs and a 3-way, but my pots are garbage. When I roll down the neck pickup, I lose all the treble around halfway, and anything lower is almost too quiet and muddy to be usable. Will that be remedied by using the correct pot value? I'm assuming both pots should be 500k.
Thanks!
