Whats the difference between 81neck and 81 bridge..

I have a 5 years old Emg-81 i used it always in bridge.. can i use it also in neck? combining with Emg85 in bridge?

The 81 is the same pickup, whether in the neck or bridge.

I LOVE the 85! And yes the sound of Colony by In flames boost the fact that it's a great PUP.

Having said that....i have never even put the 81 in the bridge yet. Don't know if I wan't to waste a pack of strings on it!

Keep the same ones on. It's really not a bad pickup at all, it just has a horrible reputation around here for some reason.
