what about the question of Seymour Duncan's name not on new release pickups?

Re: what about the question of Seymour Duncan's name not on new release pickups?

Johnny the Kid is right that we don't make the regular Invader in Trembucker spacing because the poles are so large they expand the magnetic field, but if you still want a Trembucker version it would be do-able as a Shop Floor Custom, your local Duncan dealer can get you a quote!

Thanks. I'll find out if it's not a huge difference.
Thanks also to JtK.

edit; (and sorry for the thread derail, I've just wondered this for awhile now and since Riley was on and all)

.Any one who purchased one of the original Custom Shop sets got a very special pair of pickups, and some exclusive promotional material that won't be available in the production version.

Yeah, well I'd rather have saved some cash. I think we can all understand that benefit. [emoji6][emoji6][emoji6]

It sounds like you're looking at it purely on the basis of getting a set of pickups with a particular set of specs, and that's understandable, but I think a lot of people find value in the limited nature of the custom shop run, or knowing the pickups were built by one of our master winders, or in getting the bonus material.

I've been a customer for 31 years. I know the score. I also know when a customer is trying to offer feedback. [emoji6]

The company is evolving as it must. There will always be good and bad results from evolution, hopefully there will be more good because natural selection is a cold hearted killer when it comes to mistakes.

Excellent point about natural selection.

They did the same custom-to-production thing with the whole lottas too. I remember seeing a guy trying to sell his custom shop set for a long time after the production ones came out. I think its a hard sell getting someone to pay more for what the company that makes it is saying is the same thing. I can see the argument that it was handmade, but if they say its the same as the production one, why does that matter?

More on topic: The "new" logo looks awesome, I noticed on the custom shop builder that the logo choice is yes or no, I think it would be cool to have more options they already do listed.

I hear you, and we always appreciate the feedback. Part of the reason this product is becoming part of our production line is due to the huge demand we got from customer feedback.

A lot of consideration was put into this transition, as we knew one of our top priorities had to be that customers who bought the original Custom Shop set still felt happy about their purchase. We feel that the value offered by the original limited run justifies the price difference, but we understand that some people may not feel the same.

If you personally bought one of the original limited sets and are unhappy about it now, perhaps we can discuss it via PM or email. I'm happy to help if I can.

...the new logo is much better than my idea, which was to switch everything over to Comic Sans. Everyone loves that, right? Right?
