what are all the amps you are gassing for??

I have gas for many amps, do you too? what are the amps? are you secretly planning or toying with the idea of buying them? new or used? have some you watch on ebay? why wont you get them, how is your amp stable currently?? :approve:



my amp stable is legit, and covers all bases. but I still want something heavy, thinking a 100 watt rockerverb, ya it wont happen but I toy with the idea of selling my marshall jcm900 4500 cause I turn the presence/highs down but still it is bursting with midrange. also was considering dual rectos for a long time but am thinking they are too high gain since my chugga chugga heavy nu-metal craving is minimal and my retro heavy rock music preferences have taken over

Maybe when I get a bit of cash in october. I'd like to buy new, and get a red one.

Nine..now that I got my Super 'verb as trade bait, and also having the Mesa 4x10 cabinet with new P10R Jensens, I am also looking at trading straight across for a Lone Star or Blue Angel Head for my first Mesa rig.
Any suggestions?

The Lone Star and the Lone Star special, are 2 completely different beasts. The Special is low wattage, 30 I think, EL84 based, where as it's big brother is 100 watt 6L6. Both are American flavored. Andy Timmons gets heller good tone out of them.

If it were me, I'd go straight for the Blue Angel. They've just got a cool vibe about them being able to combine 6v6's and EL84's together to get the "best" of both tubes. On the up side, the Blue Angel came stock as an option for a 4x10 combo, so it may very well match up with your cab pretty well. The downside is, finding a head for a reasonable price has proven to be a challenge. I see 1x12's and 2x10's all the time, but I've only seen 2 heads on the market in the last 6 months or more.

But also some Fender amps, and trying to find one I like a lot.

An old Fender Bassman stack! There's a '64 BF at my local shop ,that my friends own, and I am thinking about getting it in a couple months. Or one of the couple SF Bassman heads he's got in the back room that I could get for really cheap.

I've also been gassing after a Morgan RV35 and a Dr. Z Trainwreck or Stang Ray.

If I'm honest, not a great deal since I got my SS22 V Custom. The Blackstar HT20 idea is still reverberating in the back of my head somewhere, and I can't help thinking the Micro Terror would be good for sheetz & giggles - bargain price on those too...

I'm just GASing for a bigger/better cab now. My current cab is probably the weakest link in my tonal chain.
Thinking of the Egnater Tourmaster 2x12 cab. Brings two Celestion Elite 80 speakers but tweaked for more bass.

I'm gonna wait for that then I'll make a judgement on my pedals.
