tonewise, I'd say yes
along with that, fancier cosmetics .. the early 335's were unbound dot necks
some of the other models often had gold hardware
there was also a 347 - I think Freddie King played one for a while
later in his career, Chuck Berry often played the "upscale" models. In his documentary, "Hail, Hail ....", he said he played 'em for about a year on the road, then replaced them. Then he winked and said, "tax write off, you know"

I don't know how they're made these days, but I think vintage 335's are solid between the pickups and 345 and 355 guitars are hollowed out for the varitone coils. Lew

Also, don't forget the ES330! That was a version with two dogear P90's, kinda like an Epi Casino. Only, I recon the ES330 does have a center block, in contrary to the Casino.

That's a very differant guitar from a 335, 345 or 355. It's completely hollow for one thing. And for another, it has a shorter neck. Not a shorter scale: a shorter neck. Lew
