Found inside an old early 90s American Stratocaster plus that went through a swap a long time ago

Typical plastic Strat bobbin but with no number on them, but ... they are wrapped in cotton and waxed.

Pups sound very 'Texas special' the guitar is very quiet

Klein and Cavalier apparently do that. Not sure who else. I'm assuming it's a vintage Fender thang, as well.

I don't think I've ever seen a Strat pickup like that, and definitely not on a plastic bobbin. Maybe it's a rewind on some Fender plastic bobbins?

Just bit of backstory, just bought this '93 Strat Plus, I had the Lace sensor assembly but this guitar had different pickups added to it throughout the years.

All three pickups are the same, the grounding work that's been done to this guitar makes it insanely quiet, like ...almost noiseless pickups quiet ... The fabric ued to be white but was dipped in black wax. one of the nicest sounding strats I have ever owned ... may be the fact that it's the quietest as well ...
