Re: what are your favorite pickups???

Super Strat Bridges: DiMarzio Breed rules. Very rarely a DiMarzio Super 3.

HSS Strat Bridges: Lollar Imperial Normal Wind or DiMarzio VHPAF

Set Neck Bridges: Duncan JB or C5, DiMarzio AT-1, Dimarzio VHPAF.

Single Coils: DiMarzio Area '67s. These own; no compromise single coil tone, no noise. Still use Kinman Woodstocks in a few guitars but their clean tone isn't really very vintage single coil-ish. Good with gain though. The DiMarzio '67s sound good clean or with gain.

Neck buckers: Duncan '59 for clean jazz tones, Duncan Jazz, DiMarzio Humbucker from Hell, DiMarzio EJ special, Smits HWP Buckerlite. Still haven't quite found the perfect neck humbucker.

Single-sized buckers: Bridge: DiMarzio Chopper. Sounds like an overwound PAF (in -spite of DiMarzio's claim that it sounds like a P90). Always found the Duncan stuff was missing something in the lows and low mids that made it not sound like a full sized bucker; the DiMarzio stuff sounds like a full sized bucker. Neck: DiMarzio Fast Track 1 is amazing in the neck position, maybe the best non-single-coil neck tone that I've found. Duncan Little '59 in the neck can be nice; the same things that keep the bridge Duncans from sounding like real humbuckers make them work well in the neck.

Re: what are your favorite pickups???

At this point I have to add the Trilogy single coils that are awesome. Maybe a bit bassy.

I really want to try the Furies.
