I've got a couple of projects to finish and start.

Also need to build my pedalboard and add an EX Holy Grail to the mix.

I wasn't planning on buying anything in the near future, but there's a Mark V and Express 5:50 up on the local classifieds. The only reason I'm considering it is because they're good amps and I could probably get them for extremely cheap.

I'm gonna build a "Glassman-ized" version of a Plexi.

Might be putting a jazzmaster togehter, maybe...

I need to get some guitars that already own finished up and gig ready other than that not a whole lot. Wouldn't mind a nice vocal mic for recording at some point.

So now that I've heard the Strymon Mobius, I already know that I have to get it. Kinda sucks that I'm going to end up spending nearly $500 on a pedal, but I'm really excited. I've never had a need for things like a dedicated chorus, filter, or rotary sim, but since it comes with all of the other awesome effects I want - flanger, phaser, tremolo, etc - why not? I think it will open up new avenues of playing.

I don't have much gas left. I'm pretty happy with what I have. I'd like an Electra Dyne 1x12 extension cab so that I can turn my combo into a mini-stack, but that's about it.

Wanting pedals for the new year. These are some I've been looking at

a tremolo (VFE Old School, Fulltone Supatrem possibly)
a phaser (Infanem Compact Faye Sing, Blackout Whetstone)
a noisy messy fuzz (Zvex Fuzz Probe) <- super fun
a good OD/distortion (Earthquaker Monarch, Zvex Distortron)
a reverb (Earthquaker Ghost Echo)
Korg Pitchblack

Also I might drop some new pups in the Fender. The G&L pickups kind of make the Fender sound wimpy. I might just put Pearly Gates in it since I don't have a guitar with humbuckers anymore.

Pick up a Carvin AE 185 or a DC 125 or 400 with the Fishman system.
I have owned both at one time but abandoned them due to not being able to get a balance of the Acoustic tone and electric in the monitors. Now I am regularly playing in venues that have the Aviom system and with the Aviom can get the mix I need to really use these guitars like I have always wanted.
I am leaning towards the DC 125/400 with the Fishman between the 2 types of Carvins. Now if I can find some one who would trade the killer Washburn A-30 US I have for a nice DC400 or AE185----.
I am also thinking seriously about picking up one of Bruce Zinky's Mofo heads. I LOVE my Zinky Velvet and the new Supro Mofo would give me a Zinky head with more EQ control more power and a switchable boost. These amps are simply the baddest MOFO'S I have ever played :naughty::cool2:

The Faye Sing is actually my next purchase (since I can't afford a Strymon Mobius). It sounds amazing and I can't wait to get it.

The one I really wanted was Faye's Her. I waited too long to pull the trigger on that one, now its discontinued and I can't find one used. :banghead:

Well so far this year, counting only big purchases and trades, I ended up with an agile 727 pro, ibanez rg927, Gibson sg, Mesa dual rectifier head and cab, orange Jim root terror, laney gh50l, bogner alchemist 212, orange ppc212 and a whole mess of pedals. Granted most of that is up for sale, all I really want in 2013 is a ibby universe 7 string, another ppc212, and a Mesa mark v

Im ALWAYS suffering from extreme GAS.... There are so many guitars I want and amps too.. However... I am going to try VERY hard to contain it. Im working on thinning down the herd and trying to keep it that way. I know that no gear is gonna make me better. Soo. My next gear purchases are going to be to finish up a couple of projects. So, I need to retube my amp and get a set of pickups for one of my guitars.. And may a diff wah pedal and a Bogner pedal

I feel really lucky to have gotten my dream amp at a very good price last month so I am happy about that. I have a ton of goals for the upcoming year that involve money (paying off debt, moving out, paying lawyer fees (getting a international US citizenship)) and gear is not a priority for me at the moment however, I would like to have that amp run through by my tech at some point to make sure everything is running properly and I want to try Dunlop and Electro Harmonix strings.

Yes! I think that is the key. there is tons of stuff that you want, but you narrowed it down to the most important stuff, and are containing the gas and doing things the right way! that is what I need to do ;) I mean, a normal person would probably look at my stash of gear and think why do you have that stuff if you are not a paid professional?

Well, I acquired a lot in the last 3 years. Got rid of a lot of stuff also. I think it's time for me to slow down. I know that's not really the spirit of the thread, but it's the truth. I just got another acoustic a few months ago, and I'm sitting pretty comfortably on a nice stable of musical gear. I'm sure I'll find something though. The next step is probably a few key pedals. I have a good distortion, but I wouldn't mind a good overdrive.

I've not really got any big/expensive gear plans for 2013 so far but this is what I've got in mind:

Something with P90s - Possibly a Gibson 50s Tribute, or whatever model those Honeyburst cheaper 1s were :D

A new pair of 2x12 speakers for my cab - I really can't decide what I want but a Eminence Governor/Wizard pairing is the likely favourite so far

I'm also thinking about moving some sets of pickups around in current guitars and trying something different in a few of them
