so ya basically all i was told its a peavy half stack with tubes for $450 cdn. im looking for a hard rock sound, will this cut it or is it just a POS. Thanks

Depends on which amp. Peavey has several tube amps that you can buy as half stacks, some include 5150 (no longer in production under that name), the Penta amp, the XXX, the JSX, and the Valve King...

That sounds like the price of the valve king. If I'm assuming correctly, it's a great deal on solid amp. I got the 1x12 combo for Christmas and I love it. Great tube tone and some nice features at a pretty small price. The stock tubes and speakers are pretty good quality and the distortion can take you from classic crunch (i.e. AC/DC) to pretty heavy gain (i.e. Tool, Metallica). The thing I like most though is the clean channel. With a bit of reverb, it sounds amazing... to my ears, anyway. And of course, if that's not the amp you were referring to... that was a wasted post. Rock on.

its from like 89 lol, its a trimuph 60 w/ 212 MC cab w/ tubes.
