the only bass i own is an epiphone wildkat, short scale and got flats on it. when i play live i usually use my buddys 60s p bass or 70s jazz bass. he uses his '77 gibson ripper
What’s your opinion on the Ripper? I’ve never had a chance to hear them in the club scene.
Thunderbird in Deep Impact Blue, a Ford color. Had it custom made in '08 for some reunion shows with one of my 80s bands.
Maltese cross inlays, and the cutaway is placed exactly right so that I can slide up to the 19th fret without looking.
The thing feels about ten feet long but it looks great onstage. I named it Thunderbeast.

This Peavey Milestone bass keeps coming up in my feed for $279, I am thinking of taking a flyer on it at that cost. It looks versatile enough for my home recording. Definitely better than my Washburn.

I think you should consider an Ibanez 5 string, since you're writing stuff on 7 string guitar. That way you can have the low range without losing the high string..
