Thanks for the help with the last poll. Do to an unfortunate problem with fitting the PC in a Strat, I kept the JB and switched to nickel strings. The Phat Cat is in the neck of my SG. I need a bridge pickup to go with the awesome power and tone of the Phat Cat.
Re: What bridge pickup to go with a Phat Cat bridge in a SG?
Already have a custom/jazz combo. It is really clean. Not really looking for squeaky clean. I want to cover vintage and the hard stuff. The Custom is not convincing in the vinage realm. I have a tele with a 59n in bridge and it's killer in open g. Again, I'm sorry I forgot the C5, it's a 59 on steroids. Not really wild about the Ultra output pickups like the Dimebucker and Invader.
Re: What bridge pickup to go with a Phat Cat bridge in a SG?
Looks like the PC and PG are tied. So I'll probably go with the PG and if if doesn't work. the JB in the Strat will go there and the PG will go in the Strat.

Try the CC and tell me what you think -- it's my favorite pickup in a Strat and I imagine it would be awesome in an SG too. It's AlNiCo 2 like a Phat Cat so it'll probably sound more 'matched' than most other pups...
Re: What bridge pickup to go with a Phat Cat bridge in a SG?
The PC is great sounding. It's really cool in Open D tuning. It's cutting for leads and really buttery in rhythm. I just wanted something different in the bridge. The conventional way would be another PC. I want to be able to play leads and rhythm with both pickups.
