What bridge pickup???

I have a Jackson Js1 with a alder body and I would like to upgrade the bridge pickup to something better like a EMG or Seymour Duncan. I was wondering which pickup would be best for metal?

if you really want an in-your-face, balls-to-the-wall overdriven sound and would not like to go active, i say go with an Invader. otherwise, get an EMG 81 in the bridge.

I had that guitar and everybody said I should get EMGs in it..


btw I loved that guitar...I wish I still had it...argh!

yours is black, mine was blue...nice color, they never did get the black instock, or rather...never got another JS1 so that's how I ended up with the H207...

Depending on what else is in your signal chain, you will love an Invader in that guitar.

I mistaken mentioned my JS1 as a JS20 earlier this week. I put an Invader in it about 2 years ago. Perfect fit.

+1 The 85 is MUCH more dynamic than the 81, IMO.
