What Cab for me?

I am looking at cabs for my '01 Mark IV which is in the mail.

I am wondering wether to get an all Black Shadow c90 cab, a v30 cab or a mix...


Lemme know whats best.

I want a HEAVY tone, but the cleans must also kick ass.
Don't want too much sparkle as such, too much hurts my ears. But a nice clean.
And a petrucci heavy...

I want a 2x12, not a 4x12.
The v30's are stock on mesa 4x12's and 2x12's.
The c90's are custom and are stock on mesa 1x12's and some 2x12's.
C90/v30 mixes are stock on the road king cab.

I voted road king cab, should be best for versitality.

Also if you mic both speakers you could get some nice sounds... *Edit* kinda like running two cabs w/ different speakers or something like that.

- I'm not gonna use any of the special Road king features like stereo etc.

Just mono.
So don't treat the road king as anything spesh... just a 3/4 with a c90 and v30.

I went with the C90s in a closed back cab.

First, I'm a fan of the Celestion CL80, the speaker the C90 is based upon. Also, a lot of folks I know aren't too keen on V30s when they're pushed and they'd be pushed a lot more in a 2x12 than a 4x12. I chose closed back 'cause if sparkle isn't your bag, you might as well optimize for distortion.
