What Cab for this Amp?!?

Hey Guys n Gals!
So I just ordered my EVH 5150 III 50 Watt head today!!! Can't wait till it comes in!
I have a Seismic 2x12 with WGS Veteren 30 speakers (replacements for Celestion V30s, I think they sounder fuller than the Celestions! I love em) and I was debating, what will sound better, my Seismic 2x12 or the EVH 5150 III 2x12?

What do you guys think? Of course, to see what Sounds better, I would have to try em both! But I wanted to see what you guys think!

Your Seismic should be fine I'd imagine.

Before getting the EVH cabinets - 2 1x12s for mine, I read up a lot on different cabinets people tried. All said the head sounded best with the EVH 2x12, which comes with Celestion Heritage 30 G12H 30 speakers. Celestion Vintage 30 loaded heads were regarded as a little too harsh or bright, but could be tamed with the tone controls. The heritage 30s have a little more low end than the Greenbacks in the EVH 4x12s, making the EVH 2x12 sound very close to the 4x12.

My suggestion, from owning the matching head and cab, is to get the matching cab. Everywhere I've read has said its the best match for the amp, or load your cab with at least one G12H30

Hmmmmm...... I've read your forum about your EVH rig also JMH151, and saw some one say the samething about the V30s. Or was that you? Well reading from someone who has the matching cabs, and suggest to go with the matching cab, I think I'll go with the EVH 5150 212 cab then!

Maybe it's me, I saw people playing it through Vintage 30 cabs by Mesa and Orange, and it sounded a bit buzzier than the EVH cabs- and read that on a lot of the forums .

Someone on here played it through a Vintage 30/ Heritage 30 mix cab and liked it

Oh- congrats on ordering the amp- its a REAL FUN amp to play!
