The difference will be subtle. I would recommend trying them both and see which you like better. The only time you will hear a difference is when you turn the tone controls down---with the tone controls all the way up you will hear no difference.

Depending on the guitar, I like .047uf better. Not too long ago I had a JB wired up with a .047uf tone cap and it smoothed it out some. Still aggressive, just smoother.
I believe what Scott says, but when I was swapping being .022 and .047 in my situation, I was able to hear a slight difference with the tone pot on 10. The pot is still in circuit even on 10 (non no-load pots).

I agree with Scott. Try them both. (and then go with the .02! :laugh2: )
