Yes! That's definitely the way to go. There isn't any other black on the guitar but the chrome rings would go really well with all the hardware.

I hear Duncans are a little bigger than everyone else's trem pups.

They supposedly fit most of the time.

Maybe H8Red can chime in and let you know where to get em, as he has chrome rings with trem Duncans.

How does the Distortion pair with the Custom?

I think you would be better off trying that first. Pearly gates just seems like something you would be taking out fast.

Either black with black rings or white with chrome.

Good pickup choice, and definitely go with nickel covers. White rings would look really cool with nickel. It would be a look that nobody ever sees, and perfect for that particular guitar.

And the idea of chrome rings and double white is the other one that would look great.
