I should perhaps mention that surf green is only missing because I've already owned a surf green Jazzmaster and currently own a not-officially-called-that-but-still-totally-surf-green Danelectro. It's a lovely color, but I want something I've never had. And I've never owned any of the above.

Surf Green would look nice but I would say Daphne Blue or Lake Placid Blue are cooler colors lol

Whatever color you pick out, just plan ahead. Know what colors do you want to combine with it for the pick-guard and hardware.

What is Sonic Blue ? if its like Royal Blue ( the dark blue with reddish under tones )

Sonic Blue is similar to Daphne Blue. As you know, both were originally car paint colours. Factor in five decades of yellowing of the clear top coat and it becomes difficult to differentiate between them and some of the greens.

Yeah, Sonic is a bit softer than Daphne. Sort of like the difference between Surf and Seafoam.

Of the colors listed, Burgundy Mist. None of the other ones interest me. Most of them are just kind of "blah" colors – kind of weak and passive. Smoke Green would be cool, but it's a two-color paint scheme that requires binding to do properly. What I'd do if it was mine would be Dakota Red (with a white guard).

Good point. I should have made clear that I was talking not about the Gretsch original (which I adore) but the Reranch version; they call the lighter of the two shades Smoke and call the darker one Cadillac.

Excellent question! I assumed from this poll that it was going to be Maple but after a second glance I think those are templates maybe?
