What color Strat is this?

Re: What color Strat is this?

That's my guess too bases on research. Seller states it's "light blue".

Not a very common color is it?

Re: What color Strat is this?

I have a white pickup already dedicated to this guitar, so the white controls will have to stay.

What color pickgaurd would you recommend to go with the blue body and white controls/pickups?

Here's my 62RI FSR in Ice Blue Metallic. Fender Mint pickguard and Fender aged white plastics. (Both available at Guitar Parts Warehouse)

Re: What color Strat is this?

Wow, ^^^ Looks great!

I was considering mint, but wondering if it would look goofy the standard white plastics...?

Re: What color Strat is this?

What kind of pickups are you using? (Stacks/Humbucker or true singles?) If they are true singles, you can get new covers pretty cheap.

I almost always prefer Parchment or Mint to stark white.

Re: What color Strat is this?

Yeah I do too, my others are all mint, aged, parchment colored.
The pickup is a white railed Dimarzio BC TZ bridge.

Re: What color Strat is this?

What about silver anodized? It's what mine used to be.

This is MIM model with the old/previous headstock decal.

In your opinion, what Fender color is this?

It's Agave Blue; fact, not opinion. That was the only Mexican light metallic blue. The U.S. light metallic blue is a slightly more silvery color called Ice Blue Metallic. It was originally a mid-to-late 1960's acrylic lacquer color. Agave Blue is similar, but not exactly the same.

I have a Mexican Strat in your guitar's green equivalent, Sage Green Metallic. It's a 2005 that I bought new, and I had to have it just for the color. They are both very nice colors IMO. I'd be very happy to have that guitar.

Thanks, Sage Green is a real stunner. Those are rare. Never saw one in person.

Did the Agave Blue name have the word Metallic in it too? It seems to have that same light sparkle as the Sage Green Metallic.

I think a black pg would look killer on that with the white pickups and controls... but that may not be an opinion shared by others :D

It does not have the word "Metallic" in its name. However, I just looked it up, and it's actually called Blue Agave, not Agave Blue.

Here's a link to Fender's color swatches: http://www2.fender.com/support/color-chart/
