i'm in a dilemna. i'm starting a project guitar soon here and i need to decide on a color. i'm stuck between sonic blue, surf green, and coral. it's GOING to have a mathcing headstock. all white pickups, knobs, trem tip, switches etc...

and it's going to have a tortoise gaurd

i like all of them but coral is growing on me.

just remeber if i go with sonic blue, slade and mine's guitar's will be forever known as "the blues brothers"

Re: what color

I voted Sonic Blue, because I don't know what color "coral" is:smack: , and seafoam green is...well...it's seafoam green!:laugh2:

Re: what color

The only guitars I like with matching headstocks are on the black to white scale (grey and metalic silver are included). So I would go for something between white and silver for this guitar...

Of course, you can always go with cream to match your forum name...

If we're at it- you can go for the psychodalic colors Clapron had on his guitars in the cream era... that's funky looking enough for any cool style...

it's gonna be a p-bass body though :smack:. long story, don't ask

Re: what color

With a tortoise pickguard, the ONLY color is "coral". I prefer white pearloid pickguards on Surf Green or Sonic Blue bodies.

your guitar would be the black sheep, because my guitar is daphne :laugh2: we'll have to sing with gravelly voices and ride around in the police car... in the front of course ;)

Anyway... consider...

-copper. With a comp stripe.

-sherwood green. kinda a metallic turquoise type color.

heh... Coral sounds appealing though... you been aug'd :laugh2:

Re: what color

...it's a coral mustang.

but it looks more orange than it is in real life... it's much paler in person. like daphne that color doesn't photograph at all

i was so freakin confused. "you been aug'd" and BAM it's orange.

i got ya now.

i'm thinking coral is where it's at.

I agree with tortoise on Coral...looks sweet. But black looks pretty good on my (Kool) Green Esquire....

Re: what color

My favorite is Daphne blue, so I chose Sonic, it's close!

It's much less "bubblegum blue" in person!

Re: what color

Yer Building a Jazzmaster Clone then?

In that Case, It Must Be Coral. Matching Headstock Of course.
But I'de skip the Tort p/g, an go with White, Or Pearloid instead. Would just look way better I think.

Re: what color

I would say Sonic Blue, but I say be different and do it some crazy color like you rarely see on a guitar.
