what DAW type loops maker do you use?

Re: what DAW type loops maker do you use?

I do all my loops by Occide, or rather I let him program catchy rave songs and then slobber all over them with heavy guitars :D

Re: what DAW type loops maker do you use?

if I need to do sequencing of WAV hits, FL usually (an old version). it worked pretty well recently when I had to create some loops using beta monkey single hits cause their loops didn't have a few beats I needed in their collection. I used hotstepper before, it's OK, but not enough options.

Re: what DAW type loops maker do you use?

I do them myself! ,but I am not a fan of loops ,so it's not a big pain for me.
And If I do them ,they are complex enough ,so I have to do them myself.

lol, the issue is, I can't do drums...at all. so for someone as talented as yourself, that may work great. I however lack the ability

I understand your position ,but what about "copying" the loops in your head ,and then just create more complex ones? or listen to songs and try to copy them. You need to begin somewhere ,that's the only way to become a creative musician ,and I assume that's your goal isn't it?

Re: what DAW type loops maker do you use?

Haha, old version of FL as well! I need something better once I upgrade the PC, especially something that can create "natural" drum and instrument tracks.

For guitar loop creation? Mobius. I use it within Mackie Tracktion, as it is a VST, more than a DAW, but wonderful for looping.

oh, I do my own drums on the program...I thought you meant in real life...I don't use the premade loops

Re: what DAW type loops maker do you use?

I use Tracktion which is a very easy to use yet powerful program and whats really cool is it can import Acid, REX and Apple, as well as WAV format loops!

Most drums are done with EZdrummer though I do have a collection of various beat loops I use on occasion.

For something stupid simple, Mixcraft 4 is pretty nice for a very low price, $50 or something. Its not super powerful as theres no automation but for a simple DAW thats designed to work around loops, its hard to beat for the money, if you wanted to stay low priced

Tracktion just stays out of the way and lets me work which is why I love it. Stuff like Cubase4 just have so many windows and screens its a nightmare. Tracktion is all on one screen and they didnt try to make it look like a slick consel.

Re: what DAW type loops maker do you use?

What happened to Tracktion? I tried it but it stopped working all of a sudden... It came with the best mastering compressor I had at the time, and I never figured out why the software just sucked at staying on my computer. LOL - and I maintain my PC very neat and tidy THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
