I've been using a PODxt into Adobe Audition for years to great effect.

When I need drums, I sequence them in FLStudio using Drumkit From Hell samples, but I rarely (if ever) worry about drums anymore and just write to a click track.

No, GarageBand compensates for it. It's quite a nice little program

sm57 is industry standard for a reason... I would get that and not look back. your prolly not gonna be producing pro stuff but its fun to work with and all the other home recording dudes are familiar with it too

NO. I own this and it sucks your signal dry. Definitely the cheapest way to get your guitar to your computer though.
