If I were you, I'd focus all my attention on the Dr. Z line. You can order almost any of their amps in 2-10, and those are guaranteed to be tone monsters, especially if you really know what tube config. you want. Check out any clips they have on that site.

Part with some junk, and spend some real cash on a Dr. Z, and you can even get it with custom features, like a figured wood front panel.

Good call...DR. Z's are great boutique amps and less expensive than many boutique amps that don't really sound as good! I had a 2 x 12 Maz 38 for a while that was pretty darn nice...although my 50 watt '82 Marshall JCM-800 2 x 12 combo amp beat it out.

I'll tell you, except for lacking reverb, it's hard to beat a 50 watt '82 JCM-800...but it's not a 2 x 10 amp.

an early JCM 800 is one of the amps I have thought about getting and putting the head in a 2x10 combo box with 2 10" Celestions...i think that would be a killer amp...no reverb but a killer amp!

What's the deal with thes Fender Prosonic?

I agree with both the Z and ProSonic suggestions. Zs are amazing amps, definitely something I am looking into for my next purchase. And the ProSonic is supposed to one of the most versatile Fenders. Fender cleans, and supposedly the best drive channel ever made by Fender (from what I've heard,) I'd look into it, it seems to be what you're looking for (along with the Z).

i have another vote for one of Z's amps. great sound. play one and you will fall in love. Ask me anything you need to know, i have had three (though one was only for a week)
