What do you guys think about this?

I Received the guitar 2 days ago but didn't get the chance to really play it or inspect it since I was really busy. Today I had free time so I decided to proceed and check for any defects (like I do with every new guitar I buy). As you can see on the picture, It looks like the fretboard isn't glued properly on the neck. I think This is unacceptable for a guitar that costed me over 2k... Anyway, what do you guys make of this? Is it a major problem or there's nothing to be worried about?

Re: What do you guys think about this?

That's **** man. It hasn't been clamped properly in the first place. It might hold but still for 2k i wouldn't be accepting that without a fight.

What he said.. At $2k I wouldn't accept anything less than perfection.
I'd send it back. If it was a $500 ching chong special I'd say that is getting what you pay for. $2k , I'd be pissed that that got past QC..

Agreed. For anything in the 2k range, don't accept anything but perfection. Or at least damn near close. Unacceptable is right.

At 2k, this is beyond unacceptable. If you bought this first-hand, the company should be named and shamed.

Re: What do you guys think about this?

Additionally I would have expected the fret slots on the side to have been filled too.

What brand/type is it???

Na na na na, na na na na
Na na na na, na na na na
Iceman!

Re: What do you guys think about this?

I won't name the company, it's not a ''big brand''. I'll get in contact with them tomorrow. If they refuse to help me and don't offer any solution to this problem, I'll be more than happy to drop the name.

Not to worry man every one makes mistakes.

Re: What do you guys think about this?

I could be wrong, (prob am) but the two things that look odd to me is the 3 way and 5 way and the sculpting in the upper cutaway. It makes it look alot like a Rand.. Only withou the slanted fretboard end

Re: What do you guys think about this?

Actually, I would find this unacceptable for a $500 brand new guitar.

Re: What do you guys think about this?

They asked me to ship the guitar back to them so that they could examine it. Can this problem be fix or does the guitar need a new neck?

All I notice is either the bridge or neck is misaligned, because the strings are at a very odd angle compared to the pickups. Maybe it's the pickup cavities as well.
