When I first started, it reminded me somewhat of Danny Gatton, then I heard more mids (not a bad thing)...so I guess, it sounds kind of like a fat tele.
Thanks Keith! I gotta be honest though, you really don't necessarily hear what I consider the "Vibrolux" here (IMO), but it goes to show you how a Lux can accept a good OD pedal and really sound awesome.Yeah, baby! Great tone here for sure. Nice and snappy. I'm not as much into the neck pickup tone, but it's still great—nice 'n' chewy. I just happen to love the snappiness of the bridge so much that anything else pales in comparison.
Makes me want a Vibrolux that much more.
I know I originally said this was just the Cool Cat (STOLEN COPY OF A TIMMY!!), but after thinking about it I very well may have kicked in my HBE Power Screamer for that part. I forget since I recorded this several months ago.I like the tone. The switch to the neck pickup reminded me of kicking on a tube screamer. I'd like to hear the two pickups together.
Agreed KB. Lets jam so you can teach me some stuff!nice greg. you are getting some fat tones out of that SSL-1 in the neck. all around great tone and playing. we need to jam sometime soon. seriously!
PS> I love the tricaster.
that long held note that goes into near feedback on the neck pickup right before the end is worth the price of admission all by itself
very happenin
Seriously dude, I can't do it most times.I like the tone, and you shouldn't worry about your playing it sounds pretty good to me.
I know what you mean about being recorded. Sometimes once I hit the record button it also clicks a button in my head and makes me start to fumble.
Nice and smokey and sizzles on the edges. Reminds me very much of something Billy Gibbons would have done. I dig it.
The TB is OK, but the SSL + Vibrolux tone absolutely smokes .......... great clip!
