Re: what do you think about this one ? :D

Or if you search harder,go with ESP/LTD Axxion Dave Mustaine sig which was discontinued long time ago.
I love the look of it,very unique :headbang:
Oh and Dean VMNT gets many great review so you might wanna consider it too!! :approve:

Re: what do you think about this one ? :D

It's about time they came out with a neck-through King V in the Pro Series. I've got a Pro Series Dinky and Soloist, and they're great. I haven't tried the FRT-O2000; that's the Korean-built OEM version, isn't it?

There's the Demmelition with the cutouts too...

--------o--------

My take on it is, everybody will tell you something ranging from "that guitar is GC poser material" to "whatever works for you" to "hell yeah that's br00tal man!". The second one is the better advice IMO.

Considering there's no similarly spec'ed Jackson at that price range your only choice is a KV5FR like that one or look around for a Japanese market only Jackson (They're not called Stars anymore). Problem is, if you go shopping on Ishibashi or Ikebe with shipping and what not you might end up paying too much. Have you looked around and see if you can get a used USA Select King V?

Re: what do you think about this one ? :D

I have the Rhoads in that series and once again I hear ****ing stupidity coming (once again) from one poster's high horse when it comes to pointy guitars.

I would suggest waiting a little longer and picking up a used KV1. If you go through MF you might find some good deals and their Used pieces usually have pictures so you can see the condition of that model. Plus it would hold it's value better.

For me, I didn't like the Jazz/JB combo on mine, but other than that they are damned good guitars. As I play similar music I prefer the Maple/Alder combination as it is brighter and has more mid presence. Even with the JB in the bridge I'm still nailing tones of bands like Exodus. My only beef with Jackson's nowadays is the 10-16 compound radius fretboards ... I wish they when back to 16" for the whole thing.

Re: what do you think about this one ? :D

the mustaine death angel is only 1090 $ new at musician friend, mahogany body, ebony fingerboard and signature livewire, ive read alot of review on these pups and everyone seem to like them and says that the harmonic are killers

Re: what do you think about this one ? :D

ESP isn't bad, I just like Jackson necks and designs a tad better. Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom uses ESP guitars, and he... to put it lightly... is a metal GOD.

What model of Livewires come in that Dave Mustaine guitar?

the dave mustaine livewire signature.. Yeah but alexi's tone was better when he was using jackson dont you think ?

Re: what do you think about this one ? :D

Eh.. I guess I've never really sat down to figure out what albums he used Jackson guitars on.

Too bad I'll never be able to get that tone on my Line 6 POD XT

LOL

everything before blooddrunk was with jackson after it was esp w/duncan blackout after esp/emg passive with gain boost in are you dead yet

Re: what do you think about this one ? :D

Blackout or Blackout Metal?

I have a Blackout Metal in the bridge of my Jackson SLSMG, and a Livewire Classic II in the neck. Talk about br00tal as TC put it above. Absolutely whips the stock EMG 81/85 set and sends them to bed without dinner.

Re: what do you think about this one ? :D

Blackout ahb-1 (and i dont know why he switched to emg, his tone in blooddrunk is MUCH better compare to his tone in ARDY)
I got them in my Ltd FX, whats the diffence between those two ?

Nah...he started using ESP back in '03-ish...so if anything when they were touring for HCD until now. EMGs all around until the time he started working on Bloodrunk, around then he switched to standard Blackouts, then went back to EMG shortly afterwards.

Wait a second...I'm reading what you posted and I'm not quite getting what you're saying. Are You Dead Yet came before Bloodrunk, not after.

Whatever . If you're still into the idea of a used Jackson, the KV2T doesn't have a vibrato unit equipped, and it's a USA Select model.

I meant to say that he switched to emg after blooddrunk
