What does it take to put a Floyd Rose in a Les Paul?

I think the Floyd looks better. A whole lot less routing with a Kahler though. I love the look of the Customs I posted on the first page.

In all likelihood, the two ways this might possibly happen for me are the LTD or Warmoth.

Just a question…. What does it take to retrofit a Floyd Rose ona Les Paul? Can the nut be easily routed for a locking nut bolted through the back? Does the neck need to be reset at a lower angle to place the bridge down where it needs to be (instead of way in the air like a TOM?) I think the Axcess, while looking like a Les Paul from the front, is designed quite a bit differently than a typical LP.

I’d love an Axcess or made to measure but that’s in the stratosphere. Finding a more reasonably priced Les Paul and a good luthier is what I’m mulling…. (Or alternatively a Warmoth, PRS SE or LTD)

ESP/LTD make some floyd LPs. Also Dean.

I would go with this one if I was shopping a cheapish LP/floyd. Depending on how nice the top is in person.

Kahlers are pretty cool too I must admit, they do that bouncy thing...they still need a Floyd Rose nut though

I have Sperzel locking tuners on my Iceman with the Kahler Hybrid tremolo I have zero tuning issues.
