What does the JB Jr Neck sound like?

So I have a full sized JB in the neck of the guitar below. And it sounds killer. Right now there's a Dimarzio Pro Track in the neck, but I'm looking for something brighter, but still with plenty of output. Like the PATB1 that was in the bridge, the Pro Track sounds a bit "polite". I thought, the JB sounds awesome, maybe I should throw in a JB Jr? But what does the JB Jr sound like? There isn't a full-sized JB neck pickup; is there any full-sized humbucker that the JB jr resembles?

I tried one in my strat plus deluxe. Much to my dismay, it sounded very similar to the blue lace sensor.

The previous owner of my Jackson Soloist put JB Jrs in the middle & neck slots, and I'm not too fond of them. But I pretty much only like a JB in a guitar with an Alder body and a bolt on Maple neck.

But if you like the JB in the bridge, you probably will like the JB Jr Neck, because the general tone is comparable.

Hmm, doesn't sound promising. What I'm really looking for is a single-sized version of the Distortion neck, but I don't think that's out there.

I will cost a little more, but I imagine the Custom Shop could whip up what you want. And speaking of the Duncan Custom Shop, they make a Pearly Gates Jr. I don't know if you've played a PGn, but it is a beautiful sounding neck pickup.

How about the hot rails neck?

I've got a Jackson Dinky that came with a Hot Rails in the neck. Like the JB Jr, it makes a great bridge pickup, but in the neck it just sounds sterile.
