What does the STL-2 (hot lead for tele) sound like when its tapped?

Is it comparable with any SD pickup when its tapped??

Does it "loose" sound quality?

I have the Custom Shop alnico 2 version of the Tapped Tele Hot.

In the tapped mode the tone is very much like the Duncan Antiquity I Tele lead.

I love it!

I'm going to guess that based on my experience with the alnico 2 version, that the regular alnico 5 Tapped Tele Hot you are asking about would sound like a Broadcaster (7.6K)when tapped, because the tapped DC Resistance of the Tele Hot is 7.4K.
